Episode Summary:

My kids recently needed to raise $410 for a school activity they were SO excited about, so I told them I’d contribute $200 if they could figure out how to make the other $210. After a million ideas, they landed on a soda sale — taking out a little “mom loan,” setting up on our busy street, and trying to get cars to stop and buy.

It was such a simple little business experiment, but they ended up learning some very real lessons about rejection, failure, resilience, hard work, and figuring out what actually works. And honestly, it was a great reminder for me, too. In this episode, I’m talking about how we can take those same lessons into our businesses — especially when it comes to marketing and selling in 2026. What do our ideal customers actually want? How do they want to be sold to? Where do they need our help? And what might we need to approach with fresh eyes?
